During your stay, you will get time off in the afternoons to pursue other activities that the mountains have to offer. This could be going to the local market in town or why not one of the many fabulous summer activities whether it be with a guide or with the group.
The Alps has become a popular summer holiday destination in the past 10 years and so the resorts have stepped up to this demand offering a huge range of activities.
There is a stand-up type lift at 5 minutes walk from the chalet, where you can access mountain bike and walking trails on the Paradiski lift system. This first lift is free then you will require a pass to access higher lifts if you want to explore further. You can also easily get to Plan Peisey and Vallandry which have more restaurants and shops as well as incredible views. There is a bus from here or you can walk through the forest to the indoor and outdoor swimming complex in Arc 1800. You can also take the free bus to the end of the valley (entrance to the National Park) which offers more activities (Via Ferrata, Acro-Branche, Horse-Riding, Archery and of course Hiking). Electric mountain biking is a great way to see the area with less effort! For 60 euros you can rent a bike for 3 hours which includes the guide. They also just rent the bikes out so you can discover the area yourself. Hiking trails start from an easy half hour stroll to four hour hikes so something to suit everyone's fitness level or time slot. The tourist office is 80m from the chalet so mountain bike and walking trail maps can be found here along with all further information on activities
For the water activities, there is a bus down to Landry where the base is situated. https://h2osports.fr/
We are also happy to put a package together for you if you want a fun-packed stay!
